Indianapolis was a real surprise --- a canal and river walk, a bustling downtown core, Monument Row, and a real nifty library.
Although he looks like a black lab, according to the pound, he's a Cocker Beaginese (Cocker Spaniel, Beagle, and Pekinese). Go figure.

Madison and Milwaukee. We're camped half way between the two near Watertown, WI. Both M&M's were day trips...
First up was Madison, a college town and the State Capitol.
On deck, Milwaukee...
Fond Du Lac is a home-spun, apple pie, mid-western town. We spent almost twice as much time here as we originally planned. It's not an Ansell Adams spot like the Grand Canyon in that it's real easy to forget to grab your camera. We did. So, we can't show you the "Prairie Trail" bike trail. We did manage a few shots of the Horicon National Wildlife Refuge as well as a downtown park and marina. If you like to eat, we can highly recommend the bratwurst, and, frozen custard.
We're already seeing fall colors in the upper peninsula. Surprisingly, a number of trees have not only changed color, but completely lost their leaves.
