| Cathy's Cafe is Metaline Falls was a complete and total pleasant surprise. Homemade everything, soups, sandwiches, entrees, desserts. The pies are to die for. I never expected a truly outstanding dining experience this far off the beaten path. Two thumbs way up!! |  |

We came here so I could dig for fossils... 49 million year old shrubs and insects. Cool stuff (on a 95 degree day).

Although it looks like the rose leaf fossil is damaged, it's not. It's actually a very good fossil of a bug eaten leaf.
This is it. Tomorrow morning, we're back in Bothell. May as well go fishing...
