We wrapped up our Tucson visit with a Star Party at Kitt Peak National Observatory. We got to play with the 0.9 meter telescope...
Here's some shots of Texas Canyon --- one of the few AZ interstate rest areas not closed due to budget constraints. Must be too pretty to close... (Que bonita!!)
The attraction here is the Wildlife Refuge (No. Not Mardi Gras in New Orleans --- that was Feb. 2009). Think birds of a feather...
No trip to New Mexico would be complete without visiting our cousins, Skip and Tine Aragon. The time was too short, but we have great memories, though no photos! (How did that happen!?)
Dining out over sushi at Noda's was only the start of their generous hospitality, followed by a fun evening of bowling on their Nintendo Wii (Tine beat us fair and square). The following day, they treated us to see the beautiful zarzuela "La Dolorosa," performed at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. There we were honored to meet members of Skip's family. What a wonderful two days.
